Greyhounds

Excellent, I am such a great example of a dignified & elegant Greyhound.

According to the standard, greyhounds are: Intelligent, gentle, affectionate and even-tempered

YUP that's me...we're talking the intelligent part

Happy Days growing up in Badedammen

When I grew up, we lived in a place called Badedammen, at least that's what I used to call it. You see Badedammen above. That's it, a small park right outside our front door. That's where i used to run and play.

I miss my best friend Scott. He used to live right across the street. He practically raised me and taught me to respect older gentlemen like himself….he was very funny to tease though hee hee heee…he got very annoyed.

Here's Mum & Scott on a bench...me standing beside them (looking at a cat). On a Sunday walk at Storhaug about a year and a half ago.

First time I met him I was 8 weeks old and we usually met every day in the park. Sometimes our owners used to take us across the bridge to the forest wheer Scott taught me the art of chasing deer. Very handy. A year ago he and his mummy moved back home to Bergen. I still think of him & kow mummy still misses his mummy Mona.

This brings me on to another very good friend from Badedammen: Kaja!

Scott, Kaja and I were good friends. Kaja’s mum Ceci lived in a white whie house behind Scott’s green house. I used to love going there seeing Kaja and Ceci always had treats (which Kaja stole off me, but I never cared). I know mum missed Ceci greatly when she moved, but was happy cos Ceci was very happy. Here's a funny photo of Kaja :)

On photo talen from balcony you can see Scott's green hous in the front. At the very back, next to red house, we see Kaja’s white house.

Funny humans

I’m just lying here chewing my bone and then suddenly mum starts taking loads of photos of me. Humans are very amusing. Actually seeing mum crawling about on the floor trying to get good shots of me made me laugh so much I had to stop chewing. Mum laughed too and thought she just cracked the best joke ever…..oh dear!

More Mmmmme

Check ME out -- what can I say

Early Autumn

As I have cut a paw once again, I’m not allowed to run off leash - DISASTER!!!

Good thing is mum takes me for monster walks AND we do fun stuff like searching for treats and practising tricks. So it’s not all that bad really.

Today we went to “Sørmarka” which is a big forest. It’s still green but can tell autumn is on its way.

Seaching for treats, exciting.

LOOK A GIANT POOCH…oh It’s a horse…I knew that ……….

Sunday afternoon

Sunday afternoons are for snoozing in the sun.....zzzzz Especially after nice morning in the forest with my mates and a kilo of green tripe.....life's good

Iggy Pop

Only 2 months after Tiger came into my life, another greyhound babyboy joined in as well. I couldn't belive my luck!! On top of everything he lives only a 5 minute walk from our house. See how little he was first time we met. Not sure what happened but suddenly he is huge. It's a disaster....but it's so much more fun now that Iggy is big enough to run and play with Tiger and I.

My mate Thule

Introducing...*drum roll* Thule...my super cool mate. I havent seen her for while...THULE come back from holdays...I miss you!!

Photos of nice summer days with Thule

RUNNING RUNNING

Being a greyhound I run. Fast and often....I love it.

Ball Heaven

bout once a year I have to go to the Vet. My vet is called Dagny and I used to love visiting her. She used to give me loads of attention. In addition I met so many nice dogs and so many interesting smells.

One day my mum took me there and I must have fallen asleep because I woke up. When I woke up I had a larger than life lamp shade around my head, pain in my groin and discovered my mum had left me. Sound rough? You’d better believe it and I haven’t even gotten to the worst part yet!!! That evening I discovered my ball was gone, my one and only ball which used to be there..you know right between my legs. Can you imagine the shock when I realized Dagny had stole my ball and left was some itchy, painful hole in my body!! I was mortified needless to say. Mum claims it’s not actually Dagny’s fault. She said my ball was supposed to have a friend, another ball. Since I had only one, the other one was sad and has gone to ball heaven. It was very sad & I hope it is reasting peacefully in ball heaven as we speak.

I don’t like visiting Dagny anymore. I’m worried what she’s gonna steal next and to confirm my fears she actually drew blood last time..so it keeps escalating. But mum seems to really like her and chats and laugh with her. My mum can be so naïve!!!

Little brothers also...

...make more fun when they're bigger. I don't have to be so careful all the time (BORING) and we can chase eachother for hours without little brothers geting too tiered. So little brother Tiger's not all bad...as a matter of fact he's my favourite pooch in the whole world!!

Little brohters

I wish little brothers would stay small and cute, but they don't. They grow and become bigger and bolder and now look...

My owner

My owner, my feeder, my mum…I call her many things… She loves going for walks and brings me pretty much everywhere. Except from work…but goodness me I do need a break from time to time as well, so that suits me just fine. The very best thing though she takes me to places where I can run a lot. I need to run & I love to run. Fastest pooch in town. I also get to play a lot with my friends and that makes a very happy pooch.

As sweet as she is, she is very odd. There are too many things to mention (I’m sure there will be many examples along the way), but a couple of things are just a bit too strange. Firstly when I go to the loo, she praises me…which I find extremely embarrassing. I’m sitting there minding my own business then she shrills very loudly “gooooooooood”. Just to top it off she picks it up and carries it in a little black bag. Bless her heart, I know she loves me, but carrying my waste is a bit extreme. In her defense she does throw it away AND I’ve seen other owners do it.

The best bit is she fairly easy to train. I taught her quite early on when I look her in the eyes I get a treat. She picked that one up fairly easy. Bless her, she thinks she is training me hee hee..little does she know

Small recap

As said, I’m already 3 years old. Needless to say I can’t publish all the interesting stuff that has happened over the past 3 year, but a small re-cap is a must.

My mum & owner visited me for the first time when I was 16 days old. Or so I’m told…H’eeeeelloooo I was both blind AND deaf at that stage, so it’s not like I would even know. BUT I presume it is correct. Mum wanted a greyhound boy and what better choice than little gorgeous me. After first visit she came to see us at least once a week. We were both lucky that breeder had the time & willingness to welcome mum whenever she wanted, so she could get to know us properly. ON Saturday September 6th mum said Sisco, we’re going home. “cool” I said and it’s been great ever since.

Introducing

…ME, Sisco, AKA Trendy Arrival, aka da original fast pooch. Oh aye, tis’ I. Finally I’m here, 3 years too late like…but now I can be shared, admired and studied by the world. I know it’s been a long wait.

Now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the interesting stories about me and of course the even more beautiful photos....
